FACE unveils Moody rebrand FACE has rebranded international processing group Moody plc. Face was tasked with creating a new identity for all the Groups’ operating companies, company literature, stationery, signage, website and brand positioning to highlight Moody’s broad range of capabilities within the sector. The new branding will be applied across all seven operating companies within the Group, which are involved in providing processing solutions to the cheese, ice cream, food, dairy and brewing industries. Face director Vincent McLaughlin said: “Moody needed to integrate all its operating companies into one umbrella brand to reflect its positioning. Thus providing a strong, consistent image that stands out within the marketplace.” FACE sets BNL on the right bearing
"Due to the vast amount of content required on the site it was essential to carefully plan the site's navigation and content. We also ensured that text, such as news, could be easily updated by BNL's in-house team." Bearings have a myriad of applications from Formula 1 cars to pool cleaners to CD drives, the site reflects this and enables visitors to easily download further information via an Expertise Centre. "It was essential the design and functionality of the website helps position BNL as a global leader in its field. The clear and dynamic image presented by the new site supports and demonstrates this, enabling the company to engage with all its audiences throughout the world,² added Neil Holroyd. FACE designs Education Leeds' Annual Report
As well as communicating important corporate information to all stakeholders, the Annual Report seeks to celebrate the best of education in Leeds and Education Leeds. Based around the theme of 'One Year…of' the publication highlights the organisation’s achievements under bold sub-headings that reflect Education Leeds’ key objectives. Using bright, full-page imagery depicting pupils at work, and pulled-out quotes to emphasise major successes, the Annual report takes the reader through a creatively vibrant and easy to follow synopsis of the year’s accomplishments. Face director, Paul Trewhitt said: "The design also used case studies, highlighting the part played by Education Leeds colleagues and Leeds schools in making a real difference to children and young people in the city. "The publication needed to reflect Education Leeds’ high calibre status. Our track-record of design within the Higher and Further Education sectors enabled this to be delivered." The new work enhances Face’s ever-growing education portfolio, which includes City University, London, Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Gloucestershire, University of Glamorgan, Birkbeck University of London and Harrow College. Education Leeds is a not-for-profit company, wholly owned by Leeds City Council. The company provides support services for primary schools, secondary schools, special schools and pupil referral units, and discharges the functions of the Local Education Authority (LEA) in Leeds regarding the provision of education to school-aged children. Costain win for FACE January 17th 2008 Manchester-based Costain Oil, Gas & Process (COGAP) has appointed Face to help promote its services and capabilities to a broad range of market sectors. Face will initially develop a customer magazine highlighting the company’s talents within the oil, gas and nuclear industries, both internationally and in the UK. "COGAP wants to reinforce its image within the marketplace, promoting a fresh, lively look that emphasises its progress and achievements. "We have developed a communications tool that is both strong, bold and informative, focusing on bringing to life the myriad of projects the company is involved in," said Face director Vincent McLaughlin. COGAP provides engineering services for new facilities and revamps including conceptual design studies, engineering design and engineering procurement and construction. Its work ranges from decommissioning nuclear power stations in the UK to creating gas process plants in Pakistan. LogoLounge 4 is in the shops now January 11th 2008 Well it's a new year and LogoLounge 4 has just hit "We are over the moon to be featured in this internationally renowned book," said Paul Trewhitt. "it shows our commitment to good design is being recognised." New UG Prospectus for City University London December 10th 2007 FACE is to launch City University London’s 08/09 undergraduate prospectus in January 2008. The redesign of the new prospectus will reflect the University’s true international appeal and cosmopolitan London location. "City’s key unique selling points are given particular attention within the publication, as is its appeal to students from abroad, which make up a large percentage of the University’s undergraduates. "Particular focus has been given to the structure of the course pages, enhancing City's offer to potential students," said Face director Paul Trewhitt. New location and studio photography has also been commissioned to reflect a more contemporary view of the University. The prospectus win enhances Face’s ever-growing education portfolio, which also includes Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Gloucestershire, University of Glamorgan, Birkbeck University of London, Havering College of Further and Higher Education, Totton College and Harrow College. FACE launches online prescence for Printology07 Printology, the global print seminar, has launched it's website, thanks to FACE. The site contains all the current and future information for each seminar along with accommodation and seminar booking forms where Printology can collect all relevant data for future marketing activities.
FACE reveals the new City University Open Day brochure
FACE has just designed the latest work for City University London. The Open Day Programme is aimed at school children looking at going to University. Printed on uncoated paper, and featuring a hand drawn cover, the brochure mimics a school exercise book. The brochure focuses on the programme for the day and includes a spread on each department with talk and tour details. The cover folds out to reveal a detailed planner for the days itinerary. See the work > AIMS chooses FACE for Rey Push October 19th 2007 Aims Group, the independent paper buying group, has appointed Face to develop advertising, literature and promotional items for its Rey range of products. Produced by International Paper, Rey is a long established collection of environmentally sound uncoated papers, with a myriad of applications. “Aims wanted to give the range a fresh, lively look that emphasised its environmental credentials. As well as promoting the product, we had to develop a method of highlighting and strengthening the Aims brand across both advertising and literature collateral,” said Face director Vincent McLaughlin.
Aimed at the print community, nature was chosen as the theme, with clear, crisp photography combined with simple clean messages to reflect the natural feel of the paper. Face contrasted the bright and bold imagery with the dark Aims colourways to enhance branding. The advertising campaign will roll-out across trade press starting in October, with literature and promotional items to follow. Printology by FACE August 15th 2007 In developing a name and brand for a series of global seminars for Komori, Face needed to take into account a variety of criteria to ensure the correct positioning for the print machine manufacturer. Japanese firm Komori has an international reputation of producing innovative, technology driven machines that the world’s printers rely on to deliver high quality, fast turnaround print, time and time again.
Face has developed a new visual identity for a series of global seminars on behalf of the world’s leading print-related companies. Printology07, led by Japanese print machine giant Komori, will be themed ‘productivity through technology’ with events being staged in South Africa, France, Spain, Italy, the Czech Republic and Turkey. The branding, which will work across literature, advertising and the web, will be launched in October. Education Leeds Appoints FACE August 7th 2007 Education Leeds has appointed Face to develop its Admissions Campaign for 2008/09 school intake, following a competitive pitch. The not-for-profit company, wholly by Leeds City Council, is responsible for providing education support services within the City and has tasked Face to deliver a variety of literature for school starters at both Primary and Secondary school level. Face director, Paul Trewhitt said “Education Leeds is a high profile organisation that is at the heart of improving and enhancing learning and skills within Leeds schools. We aim to provide collateral that will reflect the brand’s high caliber status. “Our significant track record of prospectus and brand development within the Higher and Further Education sectors, certainly played its part in Face winning the project.” The campaign will be developed over the coming month, with an official launch in August. The win comes on the back of several other recent education account successes, including: new corporate identity work for the N8 Research Partnership, brand development work for the University of Gloucestershire, and prospectus work for the University of Glamorgan and City University, London. FACE reveals University of Glamorgan Prospectus August 3rd 2007 Face has revealed its latest work for the University of Glamorgan with the launch of the Glamorgan Outreach prospectus. The prospectus, which promotes lifelong learning, offers a wide range of courses, which will be delivered within local centres in south Wales from September 2007. “We have created a sophisticated yet simple, clean design with an easy to use navigation and information system for Glamorgan, with strong imagery throughout. “We are delighted to have expanded into the Welsh education market. The University of Glamorgan is a prestigious institute, which will serve to enhance our extensive Higher Education portfolio,” said Face director, Vincent McLaughlin. Thus providing a strong, consistent image that stands out within the marketplace.” University of Gloucestershire appoints FACE for rebrand June 28th 2007 FACE is bolstering its education credentials with the task of rebranding the University of Gloucestershire. The project will be in line with the new strategic plan for the University, based on its core values of excellence, sustainability, equality, creativity and spirituality. Face will look at all aspects of the University's brand beginning with a review of its current brand identity, as well as the brand's application through prospectuses, course literature and advertising. Jill Stuart, Head of Marketing and Design at the University of Gloucestershire, said: "We want the University to be perceived as a highly social and environmentally aware institution. "We have briefed face to implement a brand programme that creates aspirational, responsible, caring, supportive and community-linked emotions, within teh minds of our target audience." FACE originally won the University of Gloucestershire account in a seven-way pitch earlier this year. FACE launches N8 June 4th 2007 FACE has launched the much coveted N8 brand identity at the Houses of Parliament. N8 is a major new partnership by the North of England's eight research intensive universities that will enable businesses to access world-class knowledge to gain a significant competitive advantage. LogoLounge comes knocking May 23rd 2007 We're pleased to announce that our work has been selected for LogoLounge 4. LogoLounge 4 will be a book of some significance with 2,000 logos published from designers around the world. The work was judged by an international panel of judges including, Louis Lygo of Wolff Olins, Neville Brody of Research Studios and Chris Campbell of Interbrand. The final 2,000 logos were selected from over 28,000 submissions and the final collection is 'full to the brim with inspiration, higher thinking and craftsmanship'. FACE appointed to redesign The City University postgraduate prospectus April 17th 2007 After the success of it's recent publications for City, FACE has been commissioned to redesign the postgraduate prospectus. As the existing templates have been in place for three years, FACE will be looking at the overall structure and shape. Particluar attention went to the structure of the course pages which much better underline City's offer to potential students. Backed by leading print-related companies, Workshop 07 promotes excellence in printing through a series of demonstrations and seminar sessions, a must attend for anyone involved in printing. FACE will develop branding, advertising, website, emailers and direct mailers for the event. FACE will also develop bespoke literature to be produced specifically at the event. FACE launches TourismFirst training initiative February 28th 2007 FACE has helped launch TourismFirst, an initiative part funded by the European Social fund, aimed at assisting tourism companies on the East coast of Yorkshire to cover the cost of training. FACE was appointed after its successful work for North Yorkshire's Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs), established as a key part of the Learning and Skills Council's strategy to improve skills for employment. February 18th 2007 Moody Group, consisting of eight companies serving the food and beverage processing industries, has appointed FACE to completely overhaul the brand. The Retford-based group, which has grown both organically and through major acquisitions, has tasked FACE to develop a new corporate identity, PR campaign, advertising, literature production and website design, all geared to bringing greater cohesion to the group. FACE wins major pitch for University of Gloucestershire February 14th 2007 FACE has been victorious in winning the University of Gloucestershire account, following a seven-way pitch, involving several heavyweight design agencies. The three year contract will involve looking at the University's branding, prospectuses, brand guidelines as well as integration with the web. Paul Trewhitt, FACE's director of education commented "This is fantastic news for FACE, and underlines our extensive expertise within the education sector."FACE features in The Drum January 12th 2007 FACE has featured in a lead article in The Drum, one of the advertising industry's leading publications. It features FACE as one of Yorkshire's 'Unsung Heroes', and focuses on agencies who are 'just getting on with doing great and innovative work in their sector without shouting about it'. Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) appoint FACE January 6th 2007 FACE has been appointed to promote Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) within North Yorkshire. Within the County CoVEs offer an array of specialist courses in ten key skill areas, including new and traditional areas of work, all geared to meet the skills needs of employers in that sector and in the wider economy. FACE is tasked with developing marketing collateral that will promote the North Yorkshire CoVE to both employers and employees throughout the region. |
