The Yorkshire Awards 2008

How do you brand and event manage the Yorkshire Oscars?

Event managing and branding Yorkshire’s pre-eminent Awards ceremony needs to be first class for the BBC cameras.

Every year since 1989 The Yorkshire Awards seeks to recognise those Yorkshire folk who have had an impact upon God’s own county and its people in a positive way. The winners from each of seven categories, which in the past have included the likes of Michael Parkinson, Sean Bean, Betty Boothroyd and Prunella Scales to name but a few, all gather at a glittering Charity Gala Dinner and awards ceremony televised by the BBC.
Face is tasked with event managing the show from start to finish, meticulously planning every stage from liaising with the BBC, blue-chip sponsors, and venue organisers to event branding, literature and invitations.
Over the years the event has raised over £225,000 for local and national charities, with some of the country’s leading lights from a variety of fields all honoured to be part of the Yorkshire Awards.
